Welcome to the web site of the Center for Research in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Materials (CiQUS). CiQUS is a member of the Singular Research Centers Network, a core structure of the Campus of International Excellence– Campus Vida project, and it is focused towards the application of transdisciplinary strategies to solve relevant problems in the field of biological chemistry and in the development of novel functional materials.
The projects, worth almost €2.5 million in total, will support new research initiatives at the centre over the coming years. Six of them also include associated predoctoral research contracts.
The spin-off has secured more than €3.5 million in non-dilutive funding and recently signed its first international partnership with Norwegian biotechnology company Circio.
CiQUS Scientific Director accepted the accreditation on behalf of the centre during a ceremony presided over by Spain's Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities. The distinction will support CiQUS in advancing its strategic plan, strengthening talent attraction and enhancing its international scientific leadership.
